Life coaching offers clients the opportunity to uncover their goals and mitigate obstacles to them while being held accountable to living as their authentic selves. Although life coaching and counseling are similar in some ways, they are distinctly different. Where counseling is more diagnostic and has more of an eye on the past, according to Tony Robbins,
"Life coaching is a process which may be long- or short-term. In life coaching, a client works with a coach who is not a healthcare professional in order to clarify goals and identify obstacles to success and problematic behaviors in order to create action plans to achieve desired results. It takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is more action-based from that point onward."
Clinical counseling (therapy) essentially means all approaches that seek to investigate past wounds and challenges as a way to diagnose and treat mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, and the like. I do not currently offer counseling services, however, if therapeutic services best fit your needs, I am happy to make several reputable recommendations.
When life stressors start to impact a person's work performance, the stress tends to increase, especially if the person is not able to pinpoint solutions to help increase their productivity levels. This service provides clients with practical strategies to combat real life issues that can improve work performance and overall life productivity.
I work with all my coaching clients on a sliding scale based on individual income. You may call or email me for further details.
